Diablo 2 Non Player Characters
of the major criticisms or the original
Diablo was the NPC's. They remained in the
same spot: they never handed you weapons
or items, nor did they join you on your
quest to kill Diablo. In Diablo II players
will now be able to hire NPC's to join
your quest through the dungeons. They will
require a lump sum of money (or perhaps
other items), of course, though their help
will surely be invaluable. Town NPC's will
no longer be stationary as they were in
Diablo. The blacksmith, for example, may
walk out of his shop periodically and take
a stroll around the town.
You will also be able to enter the
shops and have conversations with other
NPC's. We will also be handed weapons from
now on, so unique items will not be thrown
on the ground. There will be different
merchants throughout the different towns.
With more specializing in certain items
like potions, elixirs and the sort.
